Now a stronghold in the extraordinary realm of extravagant eyewear, A-Morir has built on seasons of unconventional beauty to bring us AW13’s “Diesel Power” collection, with a mix of strong and graceful designs intended to blow your mind drastically and fantastically.  Selecting to use the stunning and strong competitive bodybuilder Robynn Europe as a model is the perfect match to the juxtaposition of strength and beauty represented in this collection. Having spent a lot of time pulling from a number of different but related interests AW13 brings together concepts from many different subcultures.  The Eastern-body art work of Irezumi tattoo techniques bridge a river of costume references from the brilliance of punk and mod stylist Roger K Burton with a touch of 90s techno and world music mixed in, resulting in a collection of extravagant face wear couture. A tireless experimenter, A-Morir’s founder Kerin Rose Weinberg has quickly become au courant with innovation, cutting edge design and luxury artisanship in the field of eyewear with a steady stream of coverage in the world's most prestigious fashion publications, frequent celebrity sightings, and collaborative efforts. The AW13 collection is comprised of a range of new materials and a refined modification and exploration of A-Morir’s classic elements.  This season brings you four distinct stories; a multi sized mink story in blood red, rich brown, and lux black, a metal koi fish collection showcasing classic pave’ and cup chain techniques, the piece du resistance being a hand constructed metal wreath with hand set stones, a deco story with monuments hand rendered in lucite, and a black and white pave and Lucite story that plays with perception by building on the traditional cat eye and circular lens shape. With an ever expanding cultural breadth and continuing in tradition of seasons’ past AW13’s collections are named after musical muses from all eras and all corners of the globe; The Prodigy, Kraftwerk, Adam Ant, Biggie, Amr Diab, Ravi Shankar, and Charo.
