We were recognized as ‘New Talent’ by Vogue Italia for SS12 and our AW12 collection was photographed for several international editions of Vogue. Pieces graced the covers of Elle Italia and Elle’s European Shopping Guide, while also making a splash throughout multi-page profiles in Vogue Japan, Nylon Singapore, U Magazine, and Swarovski’s quarterly publication. With today’s top supermodels and editors joining the constantly evolving lineup of stars at the A-Morir eyewear party, we definitely find ourselves in a festive mood going into SS13. To kick the new season off, A-Morir’s founder Kerin Rose Weinberg threw a party and enlisted her perennial guests-of-honor, Alice and Shlomo Weinberg (mom and dad!) to model the collection. Kareem Black photographed the Weinbergs wearing SS13 pieces like photobooth props found at the countless weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs they’ve attended as a family. The resulting campaign is a celebration of a great collection, great love, and one hell of a great time. The SS13 collection introduces an exciting range of new materials, including: miniature fedoras, Hamsas, custom-made French veil and Swarovski Elements crystal mesh. These features are integrated seamlessly with signature A-Morir mainstays like Swarovski Elements crystals and cup chains. As always, the pieces in this new collection are meticulously hand embellished with premium materials. Veils are juxtaposed with rainbow-mirrored sports lenses, while metallic aluminum chains sit comfortably alongside pastel Swarovski mesh. Elsewhere, nude crystals blend spectacularly with the iconic, vibrant tones of neon pearls. Following the precedent set by our AW12 line, SS13 is comprised of four series named after different musical muses. Inspired by: The Jimmy Hendrix Experience, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Ramones, Queen, Aviv Geffen, and Rancid, SS13 pieces are loud, bold, stylistically diverse, and bound to be as beloved as their namesakes.
